Well, we made it through dry January, a freezing cold but very busy February, and we are rounding out the month of March as I type this! Which means the warm sunny weather is on its way back to mid-Michigan and as far as I am concerned it can't get here soon enough!
We had a productive winter season, having completed a couple of other small projects at the Park House, fixing some tuck point on the brick at the front of the house, new exterior light fixtures at the back of the house, continued replacement of the older can lights to updated LED's in the kitchen, and very very soon, we are starting the wallpaper replacement in the kitchen and the entry area. I can't wait to see that transformation! We have selected a neutral, textured wallpaper, that we think will really compliment and elevate the look of that area! I will share more on that project soon!
Since my last post, aside from a few home updates, Andrew and Brianna also ran in the Shamrock Shuffle 5k in Jackson MI. I served as their pit crew, carrying all the things, and getting all the pictures! It was a super fun day! The video below is all of the highlights!
We also attended the burning snowman festival, its an annual fundraising event in Port Clinton Ohio that raises money for the local police, fire, and family advocacy programs in the area. The event itself is a lot of fun, there are ice sculptures, live music, shuttles to the various event venues around town, and of course at dark they burn down a 25 foot snowman on the beaches of Port Clinton! Always a great time, the video below highlights that event, and we made a quick trip to the Marblehead lighthouse before heading back home!
In more news, I made a job change in mid February, moving from Trinity Health IHA Urology, to the Trinity Health Ann Arbor Main Hospital. I am still working as a medical sonographer (ultrasound tech) but now for the much bigger hospital facility, and back to the midnight shift, which I truly don't mind, the longer 10 hour shifts mean an extra day each week to do more of what we love!
I will update again very soon, as I believe we may have some very interesting news to share! You won't want to miss this, be sure to subscribe to our youtube channel, if you haven't already, and we will chat again very soon!
